May 14th, 2011 was fabulous day as Farm Sanctuary celebrated their 25th anniversary in New York City at Cipriani.
Farm Sanctuary is an amazing organization, lead by President and Co-Founder Gene Baur. They have been instrumental in passing laws to protect farm animals and bringing farm animal issues into mainstream awareness.
They actually rescue farm animals too and provide a safe haven for them to live happily, free from harm, on their farms in upstate New York and in California. Through education, advocacy and rescue they have saved countless lives. With all the work they do, they truly are helping people make more informed and compassionate choices.
Farm Sanctuary’s 25th anniversary marked a time to pause and recognize all the achievements in the animal rights and advocacy movement thus far and to celebrate an organization that has been at the forefront of this movement.
I had the incredible opportunity to visit with many celebrities and high-profile guests that have been supporting the organization through the years and promoting a cruelty-free lifestyle through their own projects and contributions as well. It was so much fun to chat with them on the red carpet. I was captivated by how passionate everyone was about the cause.
It was a wonderful evening full of inspirational speeches, delicious food and lots of mingling with fabulous people. Here’s a glimpse into how it all went down on the red carpet.
