At Farm Sanctuary’s 25th Anniversary Gala in NYC at Cipriani Ballroom on May 14th, Big City Vegan had the incredible opportunity to visit with wonderful celebrities who have been supporting this amazing organization, among them, actor and long-time animal rights activist Corey Feldman.
He stopped to chat with us on the red carpet. In fact, he graciously made sure he spoke with everyone who wanted to do an interview. He was there to support the cause as much as possible.
Corey is energetic, passionate, engaging and a very active activist who is not without a sense of humor.
He has been working with Farm Sanctuary on the political side for years. “We helped pass some laws together. In Boston I went and spoke on the senate floor. We helped pass some laws about gestation crates and foie gras.”
He had a few things to say about people making the change and going veg. “There’s really nothing to think about. It’s easier than you think. All you have to do is take a leap of faith… change is inevitable. It’s part of life, it’s part of the human race. We are put on this earth to change…change is uncomfortable but once we do it and get to the other side we feel better.”
I couldn’t agree more. The vegolution is here and the sooner we all jump on board the better off we will all be – better for our own health, for the planet and for the animals.
